We are excited to announce a training session for our new data import tool. Matthew Fox from Strathcona Business and Technology Services has been working on this for the last six months and it’s ready to roll. We collect level data from numerous wells and a number of creeks and have been storing it online. This tool will allow us to begin to use the data by, among other things, loading it into ArcGIS and creating groundwater maps.
Most of you will not have had any direct contact with this data but it’s important that lots of us are aware of this tool even if only a few of us ever actually use it. It should give you a greater understanding of where our groundwater program is headed. As well, the training will touch on some Microsoft products available to us as a non-profit that may become useful as we continue to grow.
