Who knew that sorting cans and bottles could be fun! The secret is a great group of people intent on making an otherwise tedious job fun. We receive loads of refundables and do sorting in clusters of time. We work in approximately 2 hour shifts. Lise organizes everyone and is always there to help people learn (or be reminded) where a particular container goes.
We had no idea how important a fund raiser this would be for BWS. So much of our operating costs and equipment purchases are done through refundable proceeds.
